Morgan Rogers, who has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly set to pen a new deal with Aston Villa. The forward last signed fresh terms in November 2024 - pledging his future to the Birmingham-based club until 2030.
However, Villa have decided to reward him for his progress since his arrival from Middlesbrough, in January 2024. According to reports from The Athletic, an agreement has been reached between the club and Rogers on another contract, which will run until 2031.
Rogers's wage packet is reportedly due to see a significant boost, too, reflecting his growing stature within Unai Emery's squad. This development follows previous links with Chelsea - known for their penchant for snapping-up young talent.

Spurs were also heavily rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old following an unsuccessful £60million bid for Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White. Rogers has also impressed on the international stage for Thomas Tuchel's England this season and will be vying for a spot in the Three Lions' World Cup squad next summer.
The attacking midfielder was a key figure during October's international break, with performances which kept him ahead of Jude Bellingham - and former Manchester City youth colleagues Phil Foden and Cole Palmer - in the race for the No.10 shirt for England.
Following the recent friendly victory against Wales, Tuchel remarked: "Morgan was excellent like the whole team, he's very humble, he's very physical. He has the ability to score and to assist.
"He had a fantastic season (in 2024/2025) and he was deservedly voted as the Young Player of the Season in the Premier League. Morgan was one piece of the puzzle, but it's a team effort."
Rogers has also been set a challenge by Emery to surpass the figures that he managed last campaign. The England international found the net 14 times and laid on 16 assists in all competitions for Villa during 2024/25.
"Morgan is improving as the team are improving," Emery said in October. "The goals and assists, his movement and confidence to beat an opponent is helping the team, but I want to see further improvements.
"I want him to match - or beat - the numbers he had for us last season. I also want players to help each other. That way more players will feel like Morgan is feeling, and up their performance level.
"We need to support every player and bring out their individual qualities."
