Reliance's digital and telecom arm Jio on Friday announced the launch of its high performance personal computers, capable of transforming TV or any other screen, into a full-feature, AI‑ready system.
The device enables users to access advanced computing services without purchasing a traditional desktop or laptop. By connecting a keyboard to a Jio Set-Top Box, customers can turn their television or monitor into a personal computer that runs directly from Jio’s cloud servers. This model allows flexibility to scale storage and computing power remotely, eliminating the need for hardware upgrades.
"Today, we are proud to announce another leap forward – JioPC. JioPC is that revolutionary product that transforms your TV, or any other screen, into a full-feature, AI‑ready computer. You can easily get started by connecting a keyboard into your Jio Set-Top Box. Instantly, you get a virtual computer powered from Jio’s cloud with no upfront investment. You simply pay for what you use. And because JioPC lives in the cloud, it is always up-to-date, secure and you can remotely upgrade your memory, storage, and computing power based on your growing needs," Akash Ambani said during Reliance Industries' 48th AGM.

According to the company, JioPC will offer access to a broad suite of productivity and creativity applications. Partnerships with leading providers will integrate market-ready software and artificial intelligence tools to meet the needs of students, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
For Jio, the launch represents a broader ambition beyond connectivity. “JioPC is not just about giving people a computer. It is about giving every student, every professional, and every entrepreneur in India the same AI-ready power that only few have had so far. This is computing for India, reimagined,” Ambani added.

The service is expected to be built on Jio’s telecom base of over 500 million subscribers and its investments in 5G networks.
