In fact, this problem is sometimes associated with conditions like sleep myoclonus or restless leg syndrome. In sleep myoclonus, there is a sudden sharp jerk in any part of the body during sleep, while in restless leg syndrome there is a strange pull or desire to move the legs. If these symptoms persist for a long time, then they can also be a sign of neurological diseases like Parkinson's disease, nerve damage or even epilepsy.
