Andy Robertson told Scotland's critics to 'crack on' if they 'wanted to complain' after Thursday's vital 3-1 win over Greece. Scotland came from behind to claim all three points on home soil, strengthening their grip on second place in Group C and keeping them in the fight for first.
It was a particularly important result for Steve Clarke's side, who in March were thrashed 3-0 by the Greeks at Hampden Park, leading to their relegation from the Nations League. Now Robertson and Co. have their eyes on the World Cup at the halfway stage of qualification, as they're level on points with group leaders Denmark, who they play at home on the final matchday next month.
But not everyone was giddy after beating Greece, who dominated the first hour before deservedly breaking the deadlock through on-loan Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas. The atmosphere inside Hampden Park threatened to turn toxic, with Scotland having lost their previous two home games.
The Tartan Army weren't happy with their side's performance and voiced their frustrations. Fortunately for Scotland, Ryan Christie replied within two minutes of the visitors' goal before Lewis Ferguson and Lyndon Dykes sealed a smash-and-grab victory.
Although Robertson, 31, admitted that it's 'clear' Scotland have to be better by acknowledging that he and his team-mates 'aren't stupid', the Liverpool star had a firm message for anyone criticising the team. "If you want to complain about the performance, be my guest, crack on," Roberson declared.

"We're delighted with the three points." The Scotland captain added: "We hope that the Tartan Army were happy going home. Obviously there were frustrations in the stands at times, but everyone's dancing at the end of the game and a game's 90 minutes, not 60.
"It was a massive result and I think you could feel that in the stands and you could also feel it on the pitch. But it's only a massive result if we then kick on from here.

"So we're in control of that and we need to do that. Like I said, the fans were clearly frustrated the first 60 minutes, which I can understand and I can get, but sometimes it doesn't help."
Clarke echoed Robertson's comments, saying: "Football is a 90-minute game and you have to make sure you come out of it with a positive result. Maybe 3-1 flatters us, but we did enough to win the game. Results are the only thing that qualify you for a major tournament."
Scotland host Belarus on Sunday while Denmark welcome Greece. A win or even a draw for Scotland could be enough to see them end the October window top of the group.
"We're going to need them again Sunday," Robertson said of their supporters. "Sunday's a completely different test and we're going to need everyone in full voice because we've got three games now to try and qualify for a World Cup and we need everyone pulling in the same direction.
"If they can give us noise in the stands and cheer us on and support us then it's only going to help us. But we also know that we need to react on the pitch to that and we need to be better than we were for 60 minutes. But I think the fans are always happy when they go home with three points."
