Zubeen Garg's Last Film 'Roi Roi Binale' Opens To Packed Theatres Across Assam; Bollywood Movies Get No Screens

New Delhi: ‘Roi Roi Binale’, late singer Zubeen Garg’s last film as an actor, opened to packed theatres across Assam on October 31, and tickets for all shows for the next one week have been sold out.

According to a PTI report, the shows begin as early as 4.30 am in several theatres. As many as 7 shows are being screened in a day.

Consequently, screenings of other films including Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Thamma’, Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ and ‘Baahubali’ re-release have been halted for the week.

Zubeen’s final film is expected to break all box-office records for Assamese cinema.

In Roi Roi Binale’, Zubeen plays the character of a blind musician and the film revolves around his life and struggles. The film has 11 songs, all of which have been composed by Zubeen.

Zubeen died while swimming in the sea in Singapore on September 19.

His death was mourned across the country and his funeral was attended by thousands.
