Topshop is set to make a major comeback on UK high streets, with clothing available in 32 John Lewis stores from February 2026, while Topman will appear in six locations. Both brands will also be sold online through the John Lewis website.
The revival comes five years after Topshop's parent company, Arcadia Group, collapsed into administration in 2021, forcing the closure of 70 stores and leaving around 2,500 retail workers unemployed. At the time, major high street names such as Debenhams, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins also went under.

In 2021, e-commerce retailer Asos acquired Topshop and Miss Selfridge for £330 million, selling the brands exclusively online.
The current partnership with John Lewis marks the first return of the brand to physical retail since the collapse.
Topshop is known for its iconic "Joni jean," a high-waisted skinny fit that became a staple of 2010s wardrobes, as well as high-profile collaborations such as Beyonce's "Ivy Park" and collections with Kate Moss.
Following the collapse, e-commerce giant Asos acquired Topshop and Miss Selfridge in a £330 million deal, selling the brands exclusively online.
Topshop and Topman briefly returned to the public spotlight in August 2025 with a runway event in Trafalgar Square, showcasing the brands' Autumn/Winter collections.
