Golf news: Scottie Scheffler wins the Open as Bryson DeChambeau aims fiery rant

The Open came to a close on Sunday evening with Scottie Scheffler rounding off a stunning week's work in Northern Ireland. The American finished -17 after his final round, four strokes ahead of second-placed Harris English.

Hometown hero Rory McIlroy finished strongly, posting a score of -10 for the week to finish T7. Meanwhile, English ace Matt Fitzpatrick also shot under during his final round, ending the day -11.
