London Bridge station was evacuated due to a police incident. Police swarmed the station following an incident that prompted the evacuation of several platforms. Witnesses reported a large police presence and passengers leaving the station in a hurry.
Thameslink wrote earlier on X (formerly Twitter): "The police are dealing an incident at London Bridge. This has recently happened and we are working on gathering more information for you. Updates will follow below."
Around 6:30pm, police halted a train arriving at London Bridge from St Albans following reports of a man behaving suspiciously on the train. A full search was carried out, but no one matching the description was found.
Officers then confirmed there was no threat to the public, and CCTV enquiries are ongoing, British Transport Police has said.
