M1 traffic LIVE: Chaos on major motorway as 2-lorry crash and vehicle fire spark closure

The M1 is closed in both directions following a collision between 2 lorries, National Highways said. Following a vehicle on fire and spillage, the motorway in Leicestershire was closed in both directions between J21 (M69, Leicester) and J20 (Lutterworth).

All emergency services are on scene. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and follow diversion routes.
