Sanjeev Bhaskar, famed for his role as DI Sunny Khan in ITV's hit crime drama Unforgotten, is set to showcase his comedic side as he joins the cast of Taskmaster's landmark 20th series.
The Channel 4 comedy game show is celebrating a decade of laughter this year and has roped in a rib-tickling line-up of comedians to delight viewers across the nation.
In a battle of wits and creativity, Sanjeev will compete against the likes of Ania Magilano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis and Reece Shearsmith for the coveted title of Taskmaster Champion.
Contestants will have to outsmart each other and charm the Taskmaster himself to snatch the crown.
The show's synopsis teases: "The almighty Taskmaster Greg Davies and his faithful admin keeper Alex Horne have gathered some of the most brilliant and eclectic comedy minds and assigned them one mission: to become a Taskmaster Champion."
Details on when the 20th series will hit the screens remain under wraps, reports OK!
Alex Horne has previously shared insights into the show's widespread appeal, with many segments becoming internet sensations.
Speaking to ABC News last year, he said: "I've got children, and I think it's very rare now for families to sit down and watch a program together at the same time.

"We get contacted by people who say it's the only thing that brings us together once a week. And I really love that."
Taskmaster enthusiasts are in for a treat this summer as the hit show teams up with English Heritage, offering fans the chance to engage in some playful tasks at various historic sites.
The unique partnership will see Taskmaster-inspired events taking place across 17 heritage locations starting from July 19th and continuing until August 31st.

An announcement about the exciting collaboration stated: "We're bringing Taskmaster challenge events to 17 of our sites, along with plenty of rubber ducks. With brand new challenges specially designed in collaboration with the team at Taskmaster, this promises to be fun-filled chaos for all.
"From Pendennis Castle in Cornwall to Belsay Hall in Northumberland, Dover Castle in Kent to Beeston Castle in Cheshire, make your summer silly."
Episodes of Taskmaster are available to watch on Channel 4.
