JAMMU: Police on Saturday seized a land parcel belonging to Mohammed Azam , a Pakistan-based handler of the proscribed Hizbul Mujahideen .
Originally from Mandi tehsil in Poonch district, Azan allegedly continuously engaged in subversive activities in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly targeting the Poonch-Rajouri region, following his escape to Pakistan/PoK, they said.
A land parcel belonging to Azam was attached following a court direction. Declared a proclaimed offender, he has continued to evade arrest, prompting the court to order attachment of his property, police said.
